The Grand Fire Protection District 1 was formed in 1951 and provides service to an area comprising of 150 sq. mi. in Grand County, Colorado located in the central Rocky Mountains. The Fire Department is staffed by volunteer and resident firefighters operating out of two stations running 12 apparatus. We are responsible for all phases of fire protection and fire prevention services
