Alina embarked on a life journey at 21, when she came to America. She met a volunteer fire fighter who stole her heart (still has it!) and decided to make Grand County her home a year later. After working in the restaurant industry in Grand Lake, she moved to Granby and began a career in accounting. She and her husband have 2 daughters, one dog, and a pet hamster. She is currently a Senior Accountant for Grand County, and when asked to fill a vacancy on the board at Grand Fire, she saw it as an opportunity to give back to the community that took her in. She serves with the utmost gratitude and respect for our firefighters, because they give of their time and effort to help others.
